We’re on the lookout for a motivated and hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to lead our team and deliver outstanding standards in a unique heritage and tourism environment.

🔎 About the Role

Reporting to the Works Coordinator, you’ll take ownership of daily cleaning operations — leading your team, improving processes, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

This is a hands-on leadership role, so you’ll be just as comfortable guiding your team as you are rolling up your sleeves and getting involved.

Key Responsibilities
  • 👥 Lead, supervise, and coach cleaning staff to achieve high standards
  • 🧹 Oversee daily cleaning operations and assist on the floor as required
  • 📅 Prepare and manage rosters to meet operational needs
  • 📦 Manage cleaning supplies, stock control, and ordering
  • 🤝 Build strong relationships and deliver excellent customer service
  • ⚡ Respond to and resolve issues or complaints quickly and professionally
  • 📊 Support reporting and administrative requirements
  • 🌱 Foster a positive, team-focused culture
  • 🛡️ Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety requirements
👤 About You

You’re a proactive and organised leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.

You bring:

  • ✔️ Experience supervising or leading a cleaning or facilities team
  • ✔️ Strong understanding of cleaning practices (tourism/hospitality experience a bonus!)
  • ✔️ Knowledge of Work Health & Safety practices
  • ✔️ Strong admin and computer skills
  • ✔️ Excellent communication and people skills
  • ✔️ The ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure

📌 Additional Information
  • Operates with a high level of autonomy and decision-making
  • 💉 Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A & Tetanus
  • 🔊 Audiometric testing at commencement of employment and at least once every two years thereafter. 
Essential Requirements
  • 📌 No mandatory qualifications required
Desirable
  • 🎓 Certificate III or IV (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • ⛑️ Current First Aid Certificate
