Your Role

Co-ordinate and oversee the entire injury management process, including medical treatment, return to work
Ensure claims are managed cost effectively within the framework of the legislation to optimise return to work outcomes
Implementing and monitoring Injury Management and Return to Work Plans
Regularly reviewing the work capacity of the worker, and investigating/arranging options for the worker’s retraining or redeployment
Appointing workplace rehabilitation providers if they are required
Collating medical information
Maintaining relevant documentation

What You’ll Need

A tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health field (Rehab Counsellor, OT, Social Work, Physio, EP, Osteo) desirable
A Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management (FNS42120) or a Diploma of Personal Injury and Disability Insurance Management (FNS51920) essential
Professional registration (ASORC/AHPRA/ESSA/AASW) desirable
Experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, clinical care, claims management and/or return to work
Knowledge of Tasmanian Workers Compensation legislation
Understanding of relevant regulatory, and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation
Ability to recognise, avert, manage, and escalate conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating with key stakeholders with empathy, clarity and influence
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with customers, stakeholders and service providers
Current driver's licence and motor vehicle
