An opportunity has become available at Huon Doctors for a Part Time Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive and experienced team.

Our clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with our team seeking an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse to support the clinic 3 days per week.

About the role

Our nurses are integral in delivering day to day clinical support to our doctors as well as consistent and the highest quality of healthcare to our patients. The successful applicant will join a family friendly team in a dynamic environment and be provided with opportunities for professional development. 

We are looking for someone who can think laterally and has the ability to work both independently when required and cohesively within a team environment. 

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry. 

Nursing tasks are varied and examples include: 

• Care Plans and Health Assessments including workplace medicals

• Triage and management of acutely unwell patients 

• Immunisations of children and adults

• Wound care and assisting with minor procedures

• Results notification and patient education

• Cold chain management

• Working as part of a team and independently

Requirements 

• Current Enrolled or Registered Nurse AHPRA registration

• Previous experience working in general practice and/or emergency preferable

• A warm and friendly personality with a commitment to working as a part of a team of professionals

• Dedication to the provision of the highest standard of nursing care with exceptional attention to detail

• Flexibility and adaptability

• Proficient computer skills (previous experience with General Practice software not essential but highly regarded, especially Medical Director)

• Strong communication and time management skills
