About the Role

The Audience Development & Programming Manager is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering PAHSMA’s visitor growth strategy. You will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of a dynamic annual programming calendar, designed to attract new audiences, deepen engagement, and encourage repeat visitation.

This is a highly creative and strategic role where you will design seasonal experiences, events, and partnerships that elevate PAHSMA’s profile and expand its reach across priority audiences.

Reporting to the Director Interpretation & Experiences, you’ll bring innovation, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset to deliver impactful visitor experiences.

What You’ll Do

Lead Strategic Programming đź“…

  • Develop and deliver a year-round calendar of events and activities
  • Drive seasonal programming initiatives, including summer peaks and winter activations
  • Grow audience reach, relevance, and visitation

Create Engaging Experiences 🎨

  • Design and deliver innovative, audience-first programs
  • Create memorable experiences for families and local communities
  • Keep programming fresh, creative, and impactful

Build Partnerships & Collaborations 🤝

  • Strengthen existing partnerships (e.g. Lightwave)
  • Develop new collaborations to expand reach
  • Work across teams to deliver cohesive programs

Drive Performance & Growth 📊

  • Develop business cases and program plans
  • Evaluate performance using data and insights
  • Refine future programming based on results

Coordinate & Deliver 🚀

  • Manage budgets, timelines, and priorities
  • Lead cross-team collaboration
  • Champion audience-focused thinking across the organisation

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in audience development, programming, or events management
  • Strong ability to deliver strategic programming plans
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to deliver creative seasonal programs
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills
