From balancing the books to backing up our crew, you’ll play a central part in helping visitors experience the very best of Tassie. It’s a role where attention to detail meets people-first support and where your work helps create memorable journeys every day.
Role accountabilities include:
Manage day‑to‑day financial admin for the TTIC including EFTPOS and cash reconciliation, banking, journals, operator returns and payment runs using BookEasy and Navision.
Oversee retail stock and inventory, coordinate stocktakes, and keep office supplies and mail operations running smoothly.
Deliver general admin support to keep TTIC operations humming, including help with sales events and promotions.
Partner with the TTIC Manager on annual budget preparation, fees and charges, and the financial audit.
Review Budget Variance Reports, prepare financial projections, and analyse revenue and expense performance.
Assist with coordinating events and memorable experiences for partners and stakeholders.
Provide back‑up support for customer enquiries and Travel Advisor duties during busy periods or staff leave.
You’re someone who brings both skill and heart to your work confident with numbers, naturally organised and energised by supporting a busy team. You enjoy variety, take pride in accuracy, and thrive on keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
With a Diploma‑level qualification (or equivalent hands‑on experience) and a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People, you have a strong foundation to step confidently into this role. Your well‑developed financial skills include working across accounts payable and receivable, completing reconciliations and processing journals using financial management systems. You also bring practical experience in retail stock, inventory and stocktakes, helping ensure a seamless and efficient visitor‑focused operation.
