Production Operator (Multiple Positions) – BioMar Australia
Due to continued internal growth, BioMar Australia is recruiting multiple Production Operators to join our Production team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing things properly, and turns up ready to contribute every day. We’re looking for people with a good attitude, who are hardworking and reliable — the kind of teammate others can count on.
The opportunity
As a Production Operator, you will support the end-to-end production process — from raw material handling through processing and extrusion, to packing, paletizing and finished goods movement. You’ll operate equipment, complete checks and records, and help maintain safe, clean and efficient work areas across the plant.
Key responsibilities
Production & plant operation
  • Operate production equipment to meet daily output and quality targets, including extrusion, dosing, grinding and material handling
  • Complete routine start-up/shut-down tasks and production checks
  • Perform basic, low-level maintenance within your training and capability
  • Follow work instructions and accurately complete production records
Packing area responsibilities
  • Operate packing equipment and support line changeovers as required
  • Weigh, pack and label product to specification
  • Check packaging quality and label accuracy, and report any issues
  • Pelletize, wrap and prepare finished goods for storage/dispatch
  • Maintain packing consumables and keep the packing area organised and efficient
Materials handling & forklift operation
  • Load, unload and move materials and finished goods safely using a forklift
  • Store materials and finished goods correctly and maintain good stock discipline
  • Follow safe handling requirements, including MSDS and site procedures
Safety, hygiene & housekeeping
  • Maintain clean and tidy work areas, including production and packing zones
  • Keep tools and equipment clean, serviceable and stored correctly
  • Identify hazards, report incidents/near misses, and follow WHS requirements at all times
  • Work collaboratively with Maintenance and the wider team to keep the plant running safely and smoothly
What we’re looking for
Must have
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Current forklift licence
The personal qualities that matter most
  • A good attitude — cooperative, respectful and willing to learn
  • Hardworking — you get stuck in and see tasks through
  • Reliable — punctual, consistent, and takes responsibility
  • Team-focused with clear communication and a practical approach to problem-solving
Experience
Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is highly regarded (food, feed, FMCG, chemical or similar), but attitude and reliability are just as important.
Why BioMar?
You’ll be joining a business in growth mode, where good people are valued and where doing quality work safely is non-negotiable. As part of that growth, we’re moving to a 7 days on / 7 days off / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster — If you value predictable blocks of time off and a clearer work–life rhythm, a supportive team, and the chance to build your skills as the site expands, we’d like to hear from you.
