About the Department The Department of Health is the largest agency in the Tasmanian State Government and is the largest employer in the state of Tasmania. We provide essential services including inpatient, outpatient, community health, child community health and residential aged care. We provide healthcare across acute care, sub-acute care, emergency care, non- admitted care, allied health, primary healthcare, palliative care, dementia services, specialised case management services, oral health, cancer screening, mental health, alcohol and drug services and corporate functions. Our hospitals include Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General, Northwest Regional Hospital and Mercey Community Hospital. Ambulance Tasmania is also part of the Department of Health. About the team Recruitment Services is implementing a new statewide operating model and structure designed to strengthen recruitment capability, improve consistency, and support a more modern end‑to‑end service across the Department of Health.
