About us
Hobart OBGYN is a specialist medical practice committed to providing exceptional care through a multidisciplinary team approach to Women’s Health including Obstetrics care.
Our team includes Specialists, Allied Health Professionals, Midwives and Nurses, and Administrative Team working collaboratively to support our patients.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum of 12 months' experience in a medical reception role or an equivalent administrative position
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of medical terminology
Ability to multitask and work productivity both independently and within a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Understanding of protocols within medical and allied health professional organisations
Experience with Genie or Gentu medical software (highly desirable)
Tasks & responsibilities
Provide courteous and professional liaison with patients, hospital staff, and medical professionals
Schedule appointments and diary management
Prepare documents for mailing and electronic correspondence
Answer phones and relay messages efficiently and professionally
Process payments via cash and EFTPOS
Assist with financial reconciliation and banking
Perform general administrative duties and operate standard office equipment
Manage and respond to emailed correspondence
