Blue Derby is more than a trail network. It is a world class mountain biking destination set in the temperate rainforest of North East Tasmania. It is known for its flow, technical riding, natural beauty and strong connection to place. 

About the role

We are seeking a practical, hardworking and motivated individual to join the Derby MTB Bike Trail Maintenance Crew. 

This is a hands on role suited to someone who understand mountain biking, respects the natural environment and will take pride in building and maintaining more than 125km of purpose built trails used by riders from around the world. 

Our ideal candidate will:

Be comfortable working outdoors year round, including in variable weather conditions

Take pride in delivering high quality work, with a strong focus on safety

Maintain a high level of physical fitness, stamina and agility, suited to sustained manual work

Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence (car and motorcycle) and White Card

Hold chemical handling and chainsaw certifications or be willing and able to obtain them

Have experience operating small excavators for trail construction and maintenance work

What’s on offer:

Permanent full time employment

Competitive annual base salary of $71,893 per annum (from 7 July) plus 12% superannuation

Fortnightly rostered day off
