An opportunity for a proactive Maintenance Officer to join our Freshwater team and help keep our hatchery operations running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

The role

Working as part of a hands‑on crew, you’ll support the reliability of our equipment and infrastructure through high‑quality routine and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

Completing daily tasks and allocated duties to required standards
Performing routine and preventative maintenance across site equipment
Maintaining accurate daily checklists, records, and documentation
Supporting the implementation and use of MEX on site
Keeping workshops and site areas clean, safe, and well‑organised

Working a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, we have opportunities at our Forest Home hatchery located in Judbury, and our Whale Point hatchery located in Port Huon.

You bring:

The ability to take direction, work independently, and collaborate well
Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
A trade certificate, relevant experience, or strong freshwater operational knowledge
Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
A commitment to safety, learning, and continuous improvement
