Clinical Nurse Educator

The Team and Role:

The Clinical Nurse Educator – Operating Theatre, NWRH is accountable for applying nursing expertise and contemporary teaching and learning practice to implement education programs for nurses that align with the strategic priorities of Hospitals North/North West, respond to emerging clinical need, and facilitates professional development for the nursing workforce.

• As a Clinical Nurse Educator for Operating Theatre, NWRH, you will play a pivotal role in clinical excellence, leading innovative education and professional development that empower nurses and midwives to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centred care to all patients.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 10 May 2026 until 25 September 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:

$118,297 to $125,543 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria 

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning.

• Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in the area of clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position.
